With adequate notice we are able to offer the slot to other patients who are need of care. For this reason we have a Failure to Attend and Short Notice Cancellation Policy in place.
If a patient fails to attend 2 appointments or cancels at short notice 4 times within a 2 year period of time, in line with NHS regulations, we reserve the right to deny any further NHS treatment. In the interest of fairness, this policy is extended across our entire patient base so no one person is discriminated against another.
We require a minimum of 2 working days notice should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If the cancellation is made less than 3 hours before the appointment time, this will be marked as a failed to attend.
For private appointments, cancellations under the 2 working days notice period will result in a loss of deposit.
